As of Autumn 2008 Lahinch Seaworld is delighted to inform local and national schools alike of our new Discover Science program.

Upon booking schools will be sent an introductory pack with information sheets detailing the activities of the day. These will include a hands on tour of the Atlantic Aquarium with a trained tour guide, two or more Discover Science activities, the Sammy Shark Science Quiz and completion of our Discover Science Worksheets. Children are encouraged to ask questions, take photos and get the most out of our aquatic knowledge!

All these exciting activities add up to credits for the Discover Science Awards of Excellence Scheme. Schools will have the option of eating in our on-site cafe, Cafe Sicilian and may also use the Sammy Sharks Playzone at a discount rate.

• New Tropical Seas Display is starting to open with eight new seahorses being the first arrivals!
• Soon to be followed by our Snowflake Eel, ‘Nemo’ Clownfish and other tropical species.
• Our School Tour program is well under way! Teachers bring your class to us here at Seaworld and kids tell your teachers to bring you to us!
• New Octopus tank open this season with three Curled Octopus from Quilty.

Our new state of the art fitness suite has just opened so now you can get yourself gorgeous for the beach this summer and exercise your way towards a new, leaner, fitter, healthier, happier you!

Our facilities include only the best and most modern equipment, with trained instructors on hand to formulate your very own personalised fitness plan tailor-made for your fitness level and your individual needs.

Our goal is to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where people, regardless of their fitness level, can come along, do their workout and have fun whilst doing it.

Sign up now and get a special founding member rate of just €450, per person, per year. That’s just €1.25 per day - less than a cup of coffee!

As a member you are entitled to:

Even if you just visit for three months during the summer it still works out cheaper than if you were to pay for access on a daily basis.

As part of our ongoing camp program we are now running our Easter Activity Camp.

The camp is being run from the 17th to the 22nd of March, and will resume again on the 24th until the 29th.

Cost is €90 per child, with 10% discounts available with two or more children from the same family.

The new Lahinch Seaworld website has been launched this week. The site has been designed to reflect the numerous developments in web technology that have emerged in recent years, namely Web 2.0 and multimedia technologies, and we hope that the site will be easier to navigate, easier to use and altogether make for a more enjoyable surfing experience.

Not only have we updated the site itself, but we’ve also updated much of its content. We will be using it to continue to promote existing services as well as new ones such as the Sicilian Café and future projects, such as our gym.

We’ve also expanded the information and photos on the Lahinch Seaworld Aquarium page as well as updating and expanding our our marine database.

In this, our brand-new news section, we shall be announcing even further updates to our site and brand new and exciting services. We will also be providing you with all the latest news on marine matters, on Lahinch itself and local tourism and on the region as a whole.
